"Oh, it's nobody's fault but my own! I was looking up... It was the nearest thing to heaven! You were there..."

After viewing Sleepless in Seattle, the repeated mention of this movie title (by Meg Ryan) stirred my inquiring mind so I finally gave in and viewed it.  They say curiosity killed the cat but in this case, I beg to differ.

A crew ship is where the story evolved... two sailing hearts met and found a companion in each other.  One is a playboy, Nickie who had everything in his hands: looks, money, fame, and women. The other character, Terry is an engaged talented singer who's asked by his ultra rich fiancee to travel so she can forget her worries and be entertained. Who could ask for more, right? Boy! they were in for a surprise.

When the ship went to a halt, Nickie along with Terry, visited her grandma and this is where all the magic transpired. The rest as they say is, is history.


The plot was really easy to follow. The thing is, it could happen in real life unlike other movies wherein circumstances are next to impossible. The main characters have this undeniable perfect screen chemistry:  Nickie displayed suave James Bond-like personality and Terry's charisma captured countless hearts of men. The final scenes were truly a moment deserving a box of Kleenex. By that, I mean it was so moving. What I love most is the unconditional love presented by the couple. We definitely should have more of these kinds of motion pictures nowadays. This one made it to my favorites.
